Presale records include a development name, allowing statistics to be aggregated by development (for example, Dong Fang Da Jing).

Completed-home sales do not include development names. Matching addresses against presale records recovers names for about 30% of new homes and 1% of resale homes, where older buildings often lack matching presale records.

Unmatched records are aggregated by street segment (for example, resale homes along Section 2 of Zhongshan North Road).

Data sources: Ministry of the Interior Real Estate Transaction Price Inquiry Service — 2025 and the first half of 2026: presale developments (256) and completed-home sales (877 building groups). New and resale home coordinates use district centers plus street-segment SHA1 offsets. They support density visualization and do not represent exact addresses.

!Data limitations

This map uses public government data. Keep these characteristics and processing limitations in mind.

Development names and sample addresses are displayed as Mandarin romanizations, not verified official English names.

  1. Points are approximate rather than exact address coordinates. Addresses without house numbers are placed near the middle of their street segment.
  2. New and resale home records provide only lane-level addresses. Estimated coordinates should be interpreted as distribution trends rather than precise locations.
  3. Completed-home records lack development names. Address matching with presale records recovers names for about 30% of new homes and 1% of resale homes. Presale transaction reporting began in 2015, so most buildings older than 10 years lack matching records.
  4. Seven developments with ambiguous addresses required manual coordinate correction. Corrected records are identified in their details.
  5. The dataset covers 2025 and the first half of 2026. Quarterly batches follow registration periods, with transaction dates extending into early May 2026. Earlier launches and contracts subsequently canceled are excluded.
  6. A low-sample warning indicates fewer than 10 transactions in the relevant scope. Statistics may vary substantially and should be treated as indicative.
  7. Unit prices are shown in TWD 10,000 per ping (1 ping ≈ 3.306 m²). Parking-space area is not deducted, so values may differ from platforms that exclude it.
